Co-Owners
Don Roberts brings 49 years of flooring industry experience to his role as co-owner of Central Alabama Flooring, operating under the Don's Floor & Home and Wheat's Floor & Home brands. As a former president of the Retail Division of Carpet One, a cooperative of over 1,000 locations across the US, Don is committed to creating a welcoming shopping experience for customers seeking flooring, cabinets, countertops, and more.
Having worked on both the retail and manufacturing sides of the industry, Don has managed teams ranging from 7 to 700, always placing exceptional customer service at the forefront. Outside of work, Don and his wife Toni enjoy spending time with their two children, Taylor and Chase, and their six grandchildren.
Regional Manager
Jamin Carter thrives in the ever-changing retail industry, embracing its challenges and opportunities with enthusiasm. He is passionate about working with customers to explore their options and help turn their dream homes into reality. A graduate of a small Bible College in South Carolina, Jamin credits his education with shaping the person he is today. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, April, and their eight children, whether they're exploring the outdoors, visiting Disney, traveling, or relaxing at home with a family favorite — The Princess Bride.
Installation & Operations Manager
Fred Love has been with Wheat's in sales and management since 1994. He works closely with the sales team and installers to ensure the right materials are selected for each job, using the industry's most advanced measurement software to guarantee customers the best possible experience. Fred is responsible for scheduling all installations once materials arrive and works directly with customers to resolve any installation issues in a timely and professional manner. Outside of work, Fred enjoys working out, shooting pool, and going to church.
Commercial Specialist
Jeff Thompson has been with Wheat's Floor & Home for over 11 years. He holds a degree in marketing from the University of Alabama and brings more than 35 years of retail experience to his role. Jeff travels to customers' homes and businesses to take measurements and offer flooring suggestions. He takes great pride in the relationships he builds along the way. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys following Crimson Tide sports and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
Builder/Remodeler Specialist
Mike Corbett has spent his entire career on the retail side of the flooring industry. At Wheat's Floor & Home, his primary focus is to support builder and remodeler clients, drawing on years of retail and customer service experience to deliver exceptional results. Outside of work, Mike enjoys playing golf and visiting Disney World.
Designer & Project Specialist
Sophia Rath has been with Wheat's Floor & Home since 2015, where she specializes in Kitchen and Bath design. Originally from a small town in Georgia, she has called Tuscaloosa home for the past 16 years. Sophia is passionate about helping clients create spaces that reflect their personal style and needs. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, trying out new recipes, and spending time with her husband and two children.
Project Specialist
Kayla Moring is a Tuscaloosa native and graduate of the University of Alabama. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art with a minor in Art History and a concentration in ceramics. She has worked in the retail industry since 2013, developing expertise in merchandising, sales, and interior design. Kayla is passionate about collaborating with clients to bring their design visions to life and loves seeing a project through from start to finish. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time in nature, listening to live music, and creating art.
Installation Manager
Born and raised in Northport, she has spent 30 years in the flooring industry, 18 of which have been with Central Alabama Flooring. During her time with the company, she managed the outlet store on the retail side of the business before transitioning to her current role as Installation Manager at the Wheat's location. In this role, she coordinates installation dates with customers once their materials arrive, and schedules installation crews to ensure every job gets done right. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family. She and her husband enjoy everything summer has to offer — the lake, the beach, and camping. They also love to make trips to Tennessee to visit her son, his wife, and their three grandchildren. And of course, she's a proud Bama football fan!
Warehouse Manager
Born and raised in Alabama, Wesley has spent years ensuring that all products and offerings at Central Alabama Flooring meet the company's strict quality standards. As Warehouse Manager, he works closely with the Sales team and Installation Specialists to ensure every job is completed to the highest standards. Outside of work, Wesley enjoys spending time at the beach, making memories with his family, and cheering on the University of Alabama athletics.
